Product description

The 12 kW electric heating element is ideally suited as an emergency or supplementary heater in buffer tanks, domestic hot water tanks, and solar thermal storage tanks. Thanks to its robust Incoloy 825 (2.4858) tube casing and integrated insulation, it is also perfectly equipped for continuous operation.

The heating element features a continuously adjustable thermostat (30–75 °C) and a fixed safety temperature limiter (98 °C). The unheated zone of approximately 130 mm from the sealing surface ensures safe installation without overheating near the connection point.

Application areas

Ideally suited for use in buffer tanks from various manufacturers with a 1½" male thread connection. Also suitable as an emergency heater in domestic hot water tanks and enamelled steel tanks where additional heating power is required at short notice.

Heating elements can also be used to provide support in solar storage systems, compensating for temperature losses overnight or during periods of low sunlight.

Advantages and features

The integrated insulating barrier prevents electrical contact between the heating coil and the storage tank wall, minimizing the risk of corrosion. The high-quality Incoloy® casing ensures a long service life even under the harshest operating conditions.

Stepless temperature control and a safety thermostat offer precise control and high protection. Thanks to IP54 certification, the heating element is protected against splashing water and suitable for harsh environments.

Installation and assembly

Before installation, be sure to check the maximum installation length and diameter of your storage tank. The 760 mm installation length and 130 mm unheated zone must fit inside the tank.

The heating cartridge is simply screwed into the 1½" male thread connection and electrically connected to the 3~400 V mains supply. Thanks to the brass screw head, it can be mounted securely and tightly.

Safety and operation

The continuously adjustable thermostat allows temperatures between 30 °C and 75 °C to meet individual water temperature requirements. The fixed safety temperature limiter at 98 °C protects against overheating.

With its high IP54 protection rating and safety device, the heating cartridge can be used without problems in damp environments and in conjunction with drinking water tanks. All components are designed for maximum operational reliability to ensure safe continuous operation.
